Domestic, Commercial & Long Term Contracts, we provide a Free Written Estimate of work and pride ourselves in communicating with our clients before, during and after contracts.

Our tenders are Competitive and we undertake the responsibility to apply to all relevant Council or National Park Authority for necessary checks and permissions to carry out such works, should the land be located within a conservation area or trees have Tree Protection Orders (TPO's). On completion we can remove all waste from sites and are registered/licensed with the Environment Agency as upper tier waste carriers/brokers and dealers.

Atkins Heneghan are Design Consultants based in custom built studios in Dolwyddelan. We specialise in the planning, design, management, production and delivery of projects in the heritage, Environment and Countryside sectors; particularly the execution of Interpretive Projects.

We have been responsible for a large number of schemes in Wales for all the relevant National Agencies and have been commended a number of times for our bilingual Work by the Welsh Language Board, winning overall for our interpretive display for the National Trust.

The partners are Bruce Atkins MSIAD, designer and photographer and Mary Heneghan B.ED teacher and illustrator.

All of the design, photography, traditional and drawn cartography and natural history illustration is produced in-house.

This year’s visiting tutors include Carole Baker, Peter Cronin, John Palmer, Colin Radcliffe, Paul Weaver and Judi Whitton, all of whom will gently lead you to a more enjoyable result in which ever medium you like to paint. We are sure you will find a course to suit you, whether you are a beginner, an experienced artist, or just a little rusty and with groups kept small every one will receive individual attention from the tutor.

The courses are centred in our comfortable studio, a converted Chapel in the village of Dolwyddelan. Here, there are wonderful painting opportunities many within a short walk of the studio – mountains, lakes, rivers, water falls, interesting cottages and even a local castle – all with magical light, which is forever changing.
