Dolwyddelan in Bloom
Dolwyddelan station July 2010
Dolwyddelan in Bloom is made up from volunteers within the community and works in partnership with Cylch yr Ifanc (young peoples circle) to enhance the village of Dolwyddelan. Together they work tirelessly to keep the village looking fantastic with the main areas of focus including the Station car park (which they adopted in 2006 under the 'Arriva Trains Wales Adopt a Station Initiative), the lay by on the entrance to Dolwyddelan from Gwynedd and also the community pavilion.
Merit 2006
Since adopting the station back in 2006 Dolwyddelan in Bloom have won the best kept station award both in 2007 and 2010 (awards can be viewed at the community pavilion). Dolwyddelan station has also been named the UK's Most Enhanced Community Station by the association of Community Rail Partnerships (2006).
Wildlife Garden
They have also worked hard on the Dolwyddelan railway garden transforming it from a piece of waste land into a beautiful wildlife garden complete with information boards on which wildlife you could expect to see!
